Supernatural coming to an end after season 15

The time has finally come. Supernatural will be ending after season 15. The cast announced on Twitter that the show will be ending soon.

It is a sad day for Supernatural fans. The three main cast members, Jared Padalecki, Jensen Ackles, and Misha Collins all posted a video on their Twitter telling the fans that Supernatural season 15 will be the final season of the series.

It’s kind of unbelievable with how long the series has been on. Not many other shows can say they’ve been on for over a decade. The first episode aired on September 13, 2005, and the final episode will probably air sometime in 2020. The fandom certainly hasn’t lost their enthusiasm since day one and is sure to be heartbroken by this news.

But all good things must come to an end and Supernatural has graced our television screens for much longer than the cast and crew probably thought when they first started working on the first season.

Sam, Dean, and Castiel may be leaving, but with the impact the show has had on people, they will most likely go down as legendary characters. A show doesn’t stay on that long unless some part of it connected to some part of the people watching it. It has always been an entertaining series but it also dealt with darker issues in its own way.

This also means that the Supernatural conventions will probably come to end as well. Padalecki, Ackles, and Collins have met thousands (if not millions) of fans over the years and perhaps that’s why the show has lasted as long as it did. The fans were almost always encouraged to interact with the show and the actors who played their favorite characters.

And based on the video on Twitter, it won’t be an easy goodbye for the cast and crew either.
