New Girl season 7 is coming to Netflix in April

At long last, the final season of Fox’s New Girl is coming to Netflix this April.

Netflix has released their giant list of everything leaving and headed to the streaming service in the month of April. One of the biggest surprises on their list? Fox’s New Girl, which ended on the network just about a year ago.

To be fair, New Girl isn’t “late” or anything. It does usually take about 8 months to a year for a series to become available on Netflix after it concludes on its home network. However, with season 7 being New Girl‘s last, fans (myself included) were really hoping there would be an exception to this rule. I didn’t even realize season 7 wasn’t already available until I decided to binge watch the entire series only to be disappointed in learning only the first six seasons were streaming.

Well, the wait is finally over. If you want to relive the adventures and shenanigans of Jessica Day (Zoey Deschanel) and her roomies, you may do so April 10.

If you’ve never seen New Girl, where have you been? You’re missing out on a great light-hearted comedy that also stars Max Greenfield, Jake Johnson, Hannah Simone, Lamorne Morris, and Damon Wayans Jr. The loft roommates grow and learn a lot together over the course of the series as they deal with heartbreak, career struggles, and friendships.

It’s not as serious as it sounds, though, all topics and social issues the episodes take on are handled with care and never come off as preachy. Over all, New Girl just wants to bright up your day, and it always succeeds.

What can we do while we wait for April 10 to arrive? Rewatch season 1 through season 6, streaming now on Netflix. If you time it right, you may be able to begin watching now and be ready for season 7 by April 10.
