10. Sun Bak — Sense8

When the character first appeared: Sun Bak has been part of the series from the very beginning.

A little about the character: Sun is a character of morals and honored promises. When she’s given the chance to take her embezzling brother and father down, she protects them to honor the final wishes of her mother. Yet, she’s honest and well-trained to protect herself when she needs to.

Why the character is a fan-favorite: Out of the eight sensates, Sun is arguably the most interesting. She has the deepest backstory that is explored in the detail that’s needed. With a touch upbringing and impressive fighting skills, she is the badass that we’ve all always wanted to be.

Her character has layers that many other shows simply can’t manage. She’s rough but soft, sweet but deadly. This is a character you know you can’t trustfully but will always want to see her succeed.

Sense8 itself has never been afraid to push the boundaries, but it did that more iwth Sun than any other character. She quickly cemented herself as one to watch and one to root for throughout. You felt for her and that certainly made her a fan-favorite.

Plus, one of the first introductions we have of her is honoring her mother’s memory. She’s a multi-layered character that isn’t afraid to do the right thing for honor when she believes in it. She sticks to her guns and we can all get behind a character like that.
