15. Colt Bennett — The Ranch

When the character first appeared: Colt has been the lead male character from the very beginning of the series.

A little about the character: Played by Ashton Kutcher, Colt is the younger son of Beau and Maggie Bennett. Despite being an excellent football player, his career was full of failures because of his own mistakes. The start of the series sees him attempt to build a new life and a better relationship with his family.

Why the character is a fan-favorite: It’s hard not to like any character played by Ashton Kutcher, but Colt is one of his best. At first, he appears to be like every other character he’s played. It admittedly took some time for him to become a fan-favorite that stood out, which is why he’s the first on this list of Netflix characters.

Colt is one of those characters who’s not been ashamed ot better himself. While he still wants to be him, he gets the chance to grow as a person, connecting with others and putting everyone else before himself at strategic points throughout the series.

We’ve watched him go from “dumb jock” to one of the kindest guys on the series. Yes, he still has his flaws and we love him even more for them.

He’s also been able to repair a relationship with his family, especially his father. Colt wasn’t afraid to go out on his own and follow his dreams. When they didn’t work, he returned home and fixed something he had a part in breaking — while his dad shouldn’t have put expectations on Colt or stopped him from following his dreams, Colt could have gone about it in a better way.
