Netflix has released the trailer for their newest true crime docuseries called The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann.

Netflix is at it again with a new true crime documentary,The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann. The documentary tells the story of one of the most high profile child abductions in history, and you can watch the trailer for the documentary below.

The trailer shows the rollercoaster ride that was the case to find Madeleine McCann. This is one of the biggest missing child cases in recent history. Madeleine McCann, a 3-year-old British girl, goes missing in Portugal while on vacation with her family.

The drama unfolds showing a ton of different ways the case went to try to find Madeleine. It shows how the main investigator himself becomes a potential suspect. Of course, the parents are questioned and everything.

Check out the trailer for the series below. The Disappearance of Madeleine McCann is coming to Netflix on Friday, March 15..

This looks like an extremely enticing show and I personally love the camera work that is depicted in the trailer. It looks like a healthy blend of old footage as well as modern recordings.

There are two main things though that I personally hope the true crime craze has done and continues to do. First, I love that it highlights the struggle that the families go through with this kind of tragedy and allows other people to get the facts to potentially help solve the issue. Second, and possibly more importantly, I am very grateful that these shows tend to shed some light on the very real threat of human trafficking.

In recent years there has been a huge boom in everything true crime. This boom isn’t singularly placed on the podcast Serial, but it’s a great place to start.

The Serial podcast covers one cold case per season. This has caused a boom in other true crime podcasts, which then led to a ton of TV specials and Netflix has followed suit their own slew of docuseries.

Many people will recall the events of Making a Murderer and then the anticipation for the second season that followed. An OJ Simpson documentary won an Oscar just a few years ago!
