Should you watch Game of Thrones before the final season ends? The answer is yes, and you can do make it happen with Netflix DVD.

With the final season of Game of Thrones arriving on HBO, you, and probably millions, of Netflix subscribers have resisted the pressure for years to get an HBO subscription and binge-watch Game of Thrones. Now, you’re probably wondering if that was a mistake and if you have time to watch the series before it ends and it’s spoiled for you.

So, should you dive in and start binge-watching Game of Thrones?

The best answer is: it depends. But don’t tell our friends over at Winter Is Coming.

I love Game of Thrones. I prefer the first few seasons to the most recent seasons, but I don’t think I’m alone there. It’s as good as any show I’ve ever seen. George R.R. Martin wrote an incredible book series, that’s still going, by the way, and I do think fantasy fans will love the TV series based on those books.

If you’re a fan of dragons, battles, epic twists and turns, medieval politics, and sorcery, this is the show for you. And, that’s just the story elements.

The performances in Game of Thrones from Kit Harington, Emilia Clarke, Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey, Sophie Turner, Nicolaj Coster-Waldau, Maisie Williams and the rest of the cast are brilliant. There is some incredible acting featured in the series. Throw in the stunning filming locations and costume design, and its basically a must-watch if you are a fan of the art of TV.

If you do decide to give it a try, you still have plenty of time! Let’s be honest: you waited like a decade to start this series. It probably won’t matter too much if you are caught up by the beginning of season 8, which premieres on April 14.

The show will end in May, most likely, and you should probably get caught up by that point so you don’t end up knowing how it all ends.

If you do want to watch Game of Thrones, you don’t need to go and get an HBO subscription just yet. You can rent the first seven seasons of the series on Netflix DVD. Don’t have Netflix DVD? You can sign up for a 30-day free trial right now, and that’s longer than the HBO free trial, so it’ll save you some money down the line.
