Riverdale star Luke Perry has died after suffering a stroke

Riverdale star Luke Perry, who played the iconic role of Fred Andrews in the series, has passed away.

We have awful news to share with Riverdale fans. Riverdale star Luke Perry has died at the age of 52 after suffering a stroke last week, according to a report from TMZ.

Perry starred as Fred Andrews, the father of Archie Andrews, played by KJ Apa, in The CW series. The show is also distributed by Netflix internationally, and there are millions of fans of the show and of Perry who will be heartbroken to read this news.

Fans of the series know how important a role Perry played in this series. His character was often the voice of reason for Archie and many of the teen characters. Any time Perry was onscreen in the series fans knew it was going to be a moving, important scene.

My favorite moment of Fred Andrews is during the first season when he finds out Archie is lying to him and the football coach. It’s probably his best scene in the whole series to me, but there were so many other great moments, too.

I love the scene with Jughead, Archie, FP and Fred at Pop’s in season 1 when FP and Fred have reconciled. It was awesome to see Fred punch Hiram during Archie’s trial. Any scene with Molly Ringwald, who plays Archie’s mom in the series, and Perry were always so good. There are truly so many great moments that Perry was a part of in this show.

While there are millions of fans of Riverdale that will miss Perry and his presence in the series, there are millions more who fell in love with him and his character in Beverly Hills, 90210. Unfortunately, the series is not available to stream on Netflix.
