Fans of The OA rejoice! Your favorite surreal show finally has a new trailer, and it’s coming to Netflix very soon. According to the trailer, which was shared by Netflix, The OA Part 2 is coming to Netflix on Friday, March 22!

The much-awaited trailer starts almost right where Part 1 left off. The last time we saw Prairie she was being taken away in an ambulance after being shot. Now, she’s in the hospital but something isn’t quite right.

The nurse asks her a series of questions but when Prairie tells her that the President is Barrack Obama, the nurse has no idea who that is. What does that mean? Prairie did it! She jumped to another dimension. She doesn’t even have a wound from being shot

From there, the trailer goes on to show Prairie or Miss Azarova as the doorman calls her as she enters what appears to be her lavish home. She doesn’t recognize it but the people seem to recognize her.

The almost 3-minute clip goes onto show the doctor (Hap) who captured Prairie from Part I. He is in a field with what looks like Prairie’s friends. They are doing the movements that helped them transport to the other dimension the first time. The result? It looks like they might jump universes too and jump into “other versions of themselves” as Hap puts it.

But while this thing they’ve discovered has been something only a small group of people have known about, it may not stay that way for long. The trailer also introduced Kareem Washington, a private detective looking for a missing teenager. And when Prairie sees the picture of the person missing, she is sure she recognizes them. This sets Prairie on a journey (with Kareem) to find out what happened to this missing boy. Did he jump to another dimension? Or is this just another missing person case?

Besides this new storyline, it looks like all of Prairie’s friends from Hap’s lab will be back for Part 2, including Homer, Scott, Rachel, Renata, BBA, and the high school boys from Part 1.

The rest of the trailer is just flashes of images from the season to come. What they mean and how they fit into the storyline are unclear but it is sure to be a wild and unique ride. The OA isn’t like any other show on television and from this short look, that doesn’t seem to be changing.

The OA Part 2 hits Netflix Friday, March 22, 2019.
