March must be the month of criminally underrated Netflix original series coming back for new seasons. Between Santa Clarita Diet and On My Block, your whole month of binge-watching has been sorted, and these are shows definitely worth telling your friends about. It’s no wonder that On My Block, which topped Netflix’s list of most binge-watched shows on 2018, returns for its sophomore season full of anticipation after that dramatic cliffhanger.

If you haven’t yet taken the plunged and become obsessed with On My Block, the series centers on a group of four street-smart teenagers navigating their way through the tough times of freshman year of high school and the difficulties of inner city Los Angeles living. Given that information on Season 2 hasn’t been revealed quite yet, there’s no word on what to expect from the newest episodes. However, you can expect On My Block to get even better.

On My Block comes from Lauren Iungerich, the creator of MTV’s successful original teen sitcom Awkward. While fans of the underrated MTV series might find shades of its sense of humor and rich storytelling, On My Block couldn’t be more different from Iungerich’s past work. The series received critical acclaim, holding a 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, and won the Teen Choice Award for Breakout TV Show. Even though a release date hasn’t been specified as of this writing, be sure to keep an eye out for the second season sometime this month on Netflix.
