Beauty and the Beast starring Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, and Josh Gad is leaving Netflix on March 18, 2019. Watch the movie a few more times on Netflix.

Bad news, Beauty and the Beast fans. Netflix announced Beauty and the Beast (2017) is leaving Netflix on March 18. You only have a few more weeks to watch the hit film on the streaming service.

The film arrived on Netflix back in September 2017. In the movie, Emma Watson stars as Belle in the classic tale, along with Dan Stevens, Josh Gad, Luke Evans, Emma Thompson, Ewan McGregor, Ian McKellan, and more.

Technically, Beauty and the Beast is not leaving Netflix because of Disney is breaking its contract with Netflix and pulling all their titles and moving them to Disney+. Even if the Netflix-Disney deal was lasting, Beauty and the Beast would still be leaving Netflix. The new Disney movies only remain on Netflix for about 18 months from the time they hit the streaming service. I just want to make that clear to those who are upset at Netflix for the Disney deal ending.

Beauty and the Beast remains one of the best movies on Netflix, especially for fans of the magic of Disney movies. I was a little worried when I heard they were remaking a classic like the animated Beauty and the Beast, but this movie lived up to the hype. It’s excellent, and you should watch it on Netflix at least one more time before it leaves the streaming service.

The film will likely be available to stream on Disney+, Disney’s new streaming service, when it launches later this year. We haven’t heard that for sure, but it’s expected that Disney will roll out all their new releases on the streaming service, but we don’t know how soon that’ll happen.
