Netflix is about to get a release it’s never had before. The Notebook is coming to the streaming service in March.

Yes, this is THE Notebook. Starring Rachel McAdams and Ryan Gosling, it’s the love story that spreads decades. Based on the Nicholas Sparks novel of the same name, almost everyone fell in love with this love story when it was released in 2004. Okay, critics may not have loved it since it has a 53% score on Rotten Tomatoes but audiences certainly did.

The Notebook will be on Netflix on Mar. 15, 2019. It would have certainly made more sense to bring this epic romance at Valentine’s Day but beggars can’t be choosers, right?

For those who have never heard of it — I’m not sure where you’ve been! — the movie is about a couple who are now in a nursing home. Noah tells his wife the story of how they met, fell in love and finally found their way to each other because she has dementia and doesn’t remember too much.

As he tells the story, we see it all play out. It’s a story of love and loss, of two social classes combing together. Just as it looks like Noah and Allie can be happy, they’re torn apart by things out of their control.

This is one of those love stories you can watch over and over again. There are scenes that many shows and movies have attempted to remake and failed. Now you’ll get to stream all those scenes to your heart’s content over and over again. You’ve got a month to wait and it’s going to feel like the longest month yet, but the epic 1940s love story will be on Netflix for the first time ever soon.
