Kelsey Grammar is interested in a Frasier revival and is working with writers to craft a story. He also prefers the revival be on Netflix. Would you watch?

A Frasier revival might be in the works and on its way to Netflix! According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, Kelsey Grammar said he is working with writers on a revival for the hit series in an interview with James Corden recently.

Grammar also discussed the revival and possibilities for storylines on the Jim Norton & Sam Roberts radio show, according to the report.

All 11 seasons of the sitcom are available to stream on Netflix. The series remains one of the best sitcoms in recent memory, and although there are nearly 300 episodes, there’s probably some story to tell.

According to the report, Grammar agreed, and he mentioned they could explore the character’s story after moving to Chicago.

While I understand there is a significant pushback against reboots and revivals, I don’t really see the harm in it. I mean, there are already fans of the series watching it on Netflix. It’d be a great way to keep those fans happy and maybe bring in a few more fans, too.

Frasier is one of the most successful sitcoms of all time, and there’s a reason for that. If they got the original cast back together with Grammar, Jane Leeves, David Hyde Pierce, Peri Gilpin and Daniel Butler, it’d be a hit. John Mahoney, as Grammar mentioned in the interview, passed away in February 2018.

I’m in on the Frasier revival. I think it’d be a great thing for the streaming network and Netflix would make a great home for a show like this.

Obviously, the rights to the series would be the issue here. If those involved were interested in selling Netflix the rights to make new episodes, this is definitely a possibility, and I think it’d be a good idea.
