5 Riverdale spin-offs we want to see

4. Betty and Jughead Detective Series

Betty and Jughead have solved a lot of mysteries on Riverdale over the past 3 seasons either together or separately and have proved that they are pretty great investigators as well as journalists. They have figured out the shadiness behind Hiram’s business dealing, worked to figure out who the Black Hood was, and they investigate what’s happening in the forest in season 3. Whether they end up solving the entire mystery or not, they contribute greatly to the truth coming out.

It makes sense to have a whole show surrounding their investigations. This would also be a great option if and when Riverdale ends. It would be an interesting spin-off and could go a bunch of different ways. Betty and Jughead could solve straight up crimes in Riverdale or the surrounding areas which would be a great way to bring in new characters or crossover with different shows. Or Betty and Jughead could solve supernatural crimes in Riverdale.

While the show has always had a mysterious vibe to it, it had never really gone all the way with witches, vampires, and demons. It could be like Supernatural but with more crime solving and less heaven, hell, and angels. And, because Jughead and Betty are together, their relationship could be explored more as well.

Either of these ideas could also leave the door open for cast members from Riverdale to show up occasionally which fans would be sure to love. And really…who doesn’t like a good detective show?! There really aren’t that many shows where teens solve crimes. Why not create one with this Riverdale spin-off?
