Riverdale season 3: Chad Michael Murray joins the cast

One Tree Hill star Chad Michael Murray is joining the cast of Riverdale season 3. In the series, he’ll play Edgar Evernever.

One Tree Hill isn’t coming back to Netflix, but Chad Michael Murray is, in the form of Edgar Evernever in Riverdale season 3.

According to a report from Entertainment Weekly, Murray is set to join the cast later in season 3. We don’t know when he’ll make his first appearance, but there’s some evidence that points to his first appearance being in the episode set to air on Feb. 27.

Murray is the perfect casting for this role. I love when Riverdale adds well-known actors to play the parents of main characters, and Murray is definitely a well-known actor, and Riverdale fans should love him.

We don’t know much about Edgar Evernever, other than he’s the leader of The Farm, the cult where Alice has found solace after her husband was revealed as the Black Hood. EW shared a tidbit about his character:

"As the enigmatic leader of the cult-like Farm, Edgar arrives in Riverdale to spread his teachings and heal the ravaged soul of this once wholesome town. Edgar is a charming, handsome guru, but is he hiding a more sinister agenda?”"

Riverdale season 3 is definitely the craziest season yet, and adding Edgar to the season should spice things up even more. We’ll be sure to let you know more about his role in the season, when he will make his first appearance and more when we find out.

New episodes of Riverdale season 3 are added to Netflix (Non-US) the day after they air on The CW. The full season will be added to Netflix US sometime this spring. It has not been confirmed when the season 3 finale will air, but the season is scheduled to hit Netflix eight days after that.
