Don’t want to sort through the deluge of new releases to find your next weekend binge? Here’s our handy breakdown of 5 great movies to get you started.

Let’s kick things off with a Marvel hit!

5. Marvel Studios’ Ant-Man and the Wasp

If you loved the first Ant-Man movie, you’re definitely going to be a fan of the second. As the title of the film would imply, this new edition focuses more on the relationship between Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) and Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly). It’s funny, action-packed and brings plenty of heart.

4. Disney Pixar’s The Incredibles 2

Into superheroes but want something you can also watch with the little kids in your house? Check out The Incredibles 2. It’s a worthy sequel and will be able to entertain all members of the family with ease. This flick gets bonus points for inducing some hardcore Disney nostalgia in its viewers.

3. As Good As It Gets

Welcome to classic rom-com territory. Jack Nicholson stars in this 1997 film about an obsessive-compulsive novelist who must change his way if he ever hopes to develop meaningful relationships. It’s a genuinely moving story that you won’t regret watching.

2. Velvet Buzzsaw

If you’re in the mood for a good mind-bending thriller, you should definitely check out Velvet Buzzsaw. This new Netflix original flick is already making waves at the Sundance Film Festival.

1. Pretty in Pink

You can’t call yourself a cinephile until you’ve made the rounds through the various John Hughes films and Pretty in Pink sits near the top of the list of must-watch viewing. This flick has everything you could ever want from an 80s movie: romance, comedy and Molly Ringwald.
