NBC’s Manifest: Which couple are you shipping, Jacheala or Zekeala?

The latest episodes of NBC’s Manifest have created a love triangle growing and that has divided fans over who they want to end up together. Who are you shipping on the series?

While the major theme of NBC’s Manifest is based in mystery, fans have become slightly more interested in the show’s couples. One of the most talked about is the developing romance between Jared (J.R. Ramirez) and Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh).

To quickly recap, Jared is currently in a relationship with Lourdes (Victoria Cartegena). They got together after the disappearance of Flight 828 but it looks like Jared’s heart lies with someone else—Michaela. They even shared a steamy night of lovemaking together—one that Michaela called a mistake. Of course, no one expects them to part ways after sharing such a loving moment together.

Currently, they’re at sort of an impasse. With Michaela comforting Zeke (Matt Long) up in a secluded cabin, Jared and Michaela can’t work out their issues. They will eventually but some fans expect Zeke to spark up a romance with Michaela in the meantime—that could spell trouble for all their futures.

On Twitter, tons of fans have chimed in to talk about how Michaela and Zeke’s hand-holding is foreshadowing a coming romance. The latest episode also seemed to emphasize an unknown connection between them. That has yet to be explained but what fans have seen so far, has given them plenty to think about.

On the other side of that debate, there are some viewers who still have hope for Jared and Michaela. Even though their relationship would destroy Lourdes’ friendship with them both, fans are in support of “Jacheala” happening. It’s been teased multiple times this season so there’s reason enough to believe Jared and Michaela will eventually reunite.

There’s no telling how Lourdes would respond to their relationship but the promo for episode fourteen “Upgrade” seems to tease a devastating reaction to Michaela confessing her feelings for Jared. The promo’s dialogue actually catches Michaela’s confession, confirming the inevitable conflict approaching.

In terms of how their issues will be resolved, our guess is a scorned Lourdes will push Michaela and Jared away completely—possibly moving to another city. In that scenario, Jachaela would have a chance of coming true.

As far as Zeke’s chances with Michaela go, their unknown connection makes them equally compatible. Perhaps Zeke is a better option for the show’s overall progression. His intervention would prevent a major clash between Michaela, Jared, and Lourdes. Although, that aspect is still up for debate so we’ll let fans decide for themselves.
