A list of 5 good movies to watch on Netflix this weekend, including several Indiana Jones movies, The Departed and more.

We’re approaching another weekend and you’re definitely going to need some new entertainment. If you’ve already completely binge-watched through the hit shows like Tidying Up with Marie Kondo or You, never fear! Netflix has a long list of great movies that have premiered this month.

Here’s what you should definitely be watching, starting with a classic crime flick:

5. The Departed

This movie should be a total gimme. Its story about a FBI agent squaring off with a gang spy has been parodied so many times that you may already know the plot, regardless of whether you’ve actually seen it. If you’ve never seen it, you absolutely have to watch The Departed while it’s available to stream on Netflix.

4. Indiana Jones: Raiders of the Lost Ark

Much like The Departed, Indiana Jones is a total classic. This high-stakes adventure flick stars Harrison Ford as the archaeology professor whose hobbies and side jobs are a little unorthodox. Once you watch this first flick, there are three sequels available to check out on Netflix!

3. American Gangster

Mm, I love a good period piece and American Gangster really delivers. Set in the 1970s, this flick dives into the confrontation between a New York cop and a Harlem drug lord. Screen vets Denzel Washington and Russell Crowe star.

2. Swingers

If you love a classic dramedy, you’ll absolutely live for Swingers. Jon Favreau and Vince Vaughn give early career performances as two friends who become heavily involved in the lounge scene. It’s got about a million memorable quotes, all of which you’ll be parroting back to your friends for days after watching. “Baby, that was money!”

1. The Addams Family

Ok, so The Addams Family isn’t a critical darling. But it’s still more than worth a watch! This dark comedy paints a portrait of life in the Addams house, where the family members are actual monsters. Give it a watch this weekend!
