Save Daredevil petition nears 200,000 signatures

A petition to “Save Daredevil” has almost 200,000 signatures. If you would like to see Daredevil season 4, you should sign the petition and hope Netflix is paying attention.

If Netflix somehow brings back Marvel’s Daredevil, fans will have a few people to thank!

A petition to Save Daredevil started by Joseph Garcia is nearing 200,000 signatures. The petition was started on Change.org. It urges Netflix, Disney and Marvel to reconsider the decision to cancel the hit Netflix-Marvel series and bring back the show for season 4.

Daredevil was canceled, somewhat surprisingly, after a great third season that featured that saw Matt Murdock aka Daredevil returns from the dead, basically, and take on Wilson Fisk aka Kingpin. The season also introduced the fan favorite villain Bullseye.

As it turns out, fans aren’t the only ones who want to see another season of the series. By almost all indications, the cast of the series, including Charlie Cox, Elden Henson, and Deborah Ann Woll would like to see the series continue, as would Vincent D’Onofrio who stars as Wilson Fisk in the series.

D’Onofrio even tweeted the link to the petition to try to get fans involved in bring this show back.

It would not be unprecedented for Netflix to bring back a show after they canceled a series. A few years ago, Netflix canceled Sense8 after two seasons. Fans were outraged, and they successfully campaigned for series finale/special that gave the show an ending. It wasn’t exactly what fans were hoping for, but it was something.

Overall, it doesn’t seem like Netflix has any interest in bringing this show back, even though several outlets have reported the show was doing well in viewership. This move has more to do with Netflix’s decision to, as it seems, move away from the Marvel shows. Luke Cage and Iron Fist were already canceled prior to the news that Daredevil had also been canceled.
