A list of 5 good movies to watch on Netflix this weekend, including Solo: A Star Wars Story and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

Think you’ve seen everything good there is to see on Netflix? Think again! Cuddle up to one of these great new movies that have recently arrived on the streaming service.

Let’s get the list started with the comedy class, Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

5. Monty Python and the Holy Grail

If you’ve never seen this film, you definitely won’t want to miss out. Many consider this play on the classic King Arthur story to be among the best films of all time. You’ll find that many of the jokes are now familiar, having become classic one-liners we all use today.

4. Solo: A Star Wars Story

If you missed this flick in theaters, you’re in luck this month. This Star Wars installment specifically about young Han Solo may have been one of the more controversial of the new movies, but you’ll still want to be able to say that you have an opinion on the material.

3. The Last Laugh

Feeling brave enough to try a Netflix original? The Last Laugh premieres on Friday, Jan. 11. This story about a talent manager and his former client stars Chevy Chase and Richard Dreyfuss.

2. The Boy in the Striped Pajamas

It will be near impossible to watch this film without having an emotional breakdown, but you simply have to take the opportunity this month to tune in to The Boy in the Striped Pajamas. This Holocaust tale, told from the perspective of innocent children, really puts the cost of war into perspective.

1. Pan’s Labyrinth

Finally, what’s a good movie list without a little fantasy? Famed writer and director Guillermo del Toro brings a mythical world to life via groundbreaking make-up, CGI and animatronic effects. This is a great film to watch if you like some of his other work, like The Shape of Water or Hellboy.
