Here’s everything you need to know about Stranger Things appearance at San Diego Comic-Con and whether we’ll get a new trailer.

One of the biggest pop culture events of the year is upon us as it’s time for San Diego Comic-Con. This is a great time for fans of comics, video games, TV and movies to get under one roof and celebrate and rub elbows with the stars, directors, writers and creators of all these various forms of art.

Netflix will be at Comic-Con this year with Marvel’s The Defenders, Stranger Things, Death Note and Bright having panels. Marvel is sure to command a huge audience as it’ll be more than just The Defenders for them to promote. But the biggest audience of the entire event could be for Stranger Things. Below you will find out all the information we know about the Comic-Con panel and what fans can hope to see from the presentation.

When and where is the Stranger Things panel?

Stranger Things – 3:00 p.m. PT on Saturday, July 22 at Hall H.

The panel won’t be on television anywhere, but you can follow along for real-time updates on Twitter where fans in attendance and media will be sharing their experiences. There is also a possibility the Stranger Things official Facebook page will have a live stream of the panel from 3-4 p.m. PT. If it is, we’ll share the video on the Netflix Life Facebook page for fans to watch.

Who will be on the panel?

Stranger Things co-creators Matt and Ross Duffer will be on hand to talk about their show that blew up into one of the biggest television shows of the last year. Stranger Things season 2 premieres on Friday, Oct. 27 and those on the panel will be privy to some never-before-seen footage of the upcoming season. Everyone who isn’t there will be immediately jealous, but we are going to try to share that footage with you over the weekend, if possible.

We also are expecting to see Millie Bobby Brown in attendance. The actress who played Eleven is fresh off receiving an Emmy nomination for Supporting Actress in a Drama. David Harbour also received an Emmy nomination for Supporting Actor and we hope to see him on the panel as well. Also expected to attend are Winona Ryder, Gaten Matarazzo, Finn Wolfhard, Natalia Dyer, Noah Schnapp, Charlie Heaton, Caleb McLaughlin and Joe Keery. We may also get our first look at new cast members for season 2, Paul Reiser,  Sean Astin, Dacre Montgomery and Sadie Sink.

Will we get any plot updates?

The little information we’ve been able to get about season 2 has been very vague and only goes to intensify our excitement for the upcoming season. We do know we’ll have nine episodes instead of eight like the first season. However, we have only been able to learn that the new season will be darker and bigger in scope and there’s some sort of massive new monster that will make the Demogorgon from the first season look like a teddy bear. I hope we can get something in the way of specific storylines we can then use to make more predictions and theorize what’s to come. We know the series picks up one year removed from the events of season 1, but I’d like to learn more about the characters and the new cast members and their involvement.

Season 2 trailer?

This is the question everyone wants to know. After getting the release date confirmed, the next pressing question is when fans can watch the Stranger Things season 2 trailer. We’ve seen the Super Bowl teaser and recently saw a brief teaser to reveal the release date. But we haven’t seen an official teaser or full-length official trailer for fans to sink their teeth into. I think it’s still too soon for an official trailer to debut and I expect that will come in late August or early September. But I wouldn’t rule out a 30-second teaser to tide fans over until then and to get us talking about the show again. Will that be enough? No way. It’s only going to make us die-hard fans fawn over the show even more. But we can always binge-watch the first season a few dozen more times until we get to Oct. 27.
