That means if you like Orange is the New Black, you will probably like Nurse Jackie. While the two shows are not that similar, they do share similar themes, female-driven shows, and other central story elements, including addiction.

Nurse Jackie and Orange is the New Black share a producer, Liz Flahive, who is also the creator and executive producer of the Netflix original series GLOW, another series on this list.

Nurse Jackie focuses on Jackie Peyton (Edie Falco), an emergency room nurse, as she navigates life, friendships, romantic relationships, and her job at the hospital.

Nurse Jackie premiered on Showtime in 2009 and ran for seven seasons. All of those seasons are streaming on Netflix right now.
