25. Alec Baldwin

Parker – “The One with the Tea Leaves” – S8E17 (first of two appearances)

Technically, Alec Baldwin appeared as Phoebe’s boyfriend Parker in two episodes. In the first of the two, he meets Phoebe at the dry cleaners after her tea leaves reading tells her she’s going to meet the man of her dreams. That was near the end of the episode after Phoebe had already gone on a disastrous date with a stranger who wrote erotic novels for children.

Parker’s appearance in a second episode, “The One in Massapequa,” caught everyone’s attention.

Parker, as you die-hard Friends fans will recall, was extremely positive and perky to the point of being annoying. While Phoebe thought his enthusiasm and energy was fun at first, she eventually got tired of it and him. The guy found awe and wonder in everything, even brake lights in a traffic jam. By the time the gang got home from Jack and Judy Geller’s anniversary party, Phoebe was at the end of her Parker rope. She uses a technique used by many exhausted parents and challenges him to “the quiet game.” Parker loses, of course.

While Alec Baldwin may have gotten on everyone’s nerves as Parker, he won viewers over as studio exec Jack Donaghy on NBC’s 30 Rock. Now he’s making a lot of waves on Saturday Night Live for his pout-lipped portrayal of Donald Trump.
