Stranger Things premiered exclusively on Netflix on July 15 and it’s already made a big impression on viewers with its homage to movies like Goonies, E.T. and classic Stephen King movies and adds a modern twist with elements from The X-Files and a touch of American Horror Story to make it a truly enjoyable experience for Netflix subscribers.
If you haven’t had a chance to see the entire series, don’t worry, this post won’t spoil anything for you as the rest of the post will focus on the incredible music selections used in the series to give viewers a killer soundtrack.

What was your favorite song used in Stranger Things?
It’s hard to pick just one, but I have to go with New Order’s “Elegia.” It was just so dang perfect for the tone of the series and the vibe it was trying to create.
