Wondering when Outer Banks season 4 is coming out? We are, too, but we did find a little teaser from one of the new cast members from Outer Banks season 4 on social media to share.

On June 12, J. Anthony Crane, a new cast member for Outer Banks season 4, shared a video on Instagram from the set of season 4 to announce that production had officially wrapped. That was the same day that fellow cast members Chase Stokes, Jonathan Daviss, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, and Carlacia Grant shared stories on Instagram announcing that production had wrapped.

Crane captioned the video with this:

"And that’s a wrap! What a glorious day to end a glorious season. Thank you @obx for changing me. And changing my life. I hope you all tune in this fall for the premiere. A lot in store. P4L. #obx #p4l #charleston #pogues"

You heard it there first! Outer Banks season 4 coming in the fall of 2024.

Netflix already announced Crane's casting in season 4 and shared a description of his character. In the new season, Crane, who has starred in Billions and Dead Ringers, will play Chandler Groff. According to Netflix, Groff is "darkly grief-stricken over the loss of his wife" and "is welcoming to the Pogues on their latest adventure." Okay, Chandler, if you're helping out John B. and the gang, I think we can be friends.

Someone asked Crane, basically, if the release date would be sometime at the end of September, but Crane replied and said: "they tell me NOTHING." He followed it up with a heart emoji.

So, no, we don't know the Outer Banks season 4 release date yet, but this isn't the first time it's been suggested that season 4 is coming in the fall of 2024.

Ted Sarandos, Netflix CEO, revealed during the Q1 earnings call in April that Outer Banks season 4 was coming later this year. We'd heard that back in February when Netflix confirmed a number of shows would release new seasons in 2024. But, Sarandos listed a number of other shows coming in the second half of 2024, which included Cobra Kai, Emily in Paris, The Night Agent, and Outer Banks, among others.

We know Cobra Kai and Emily in Paris premiere in July and August, respectively. Hopefully, that means we'll see The Night Agent and Outer Banks back for new seasons in September or October.

We all know that the best time to watch Outer Banks is all of the time, but the second-best time to watch Outer Banks is in the summer.

With production wrapping in mid-June, there's no way Netflix would release the show this summer. There's just not enough time for that to happen. And, while we'd all love a Christmas with the Pogues, it just makes so much more sense to release season 4 a little earlier than the holiday season. That's one of the reasons our team at Netflix Life has been anticipating a September or October release for the new season

With the new season, hopefully, coming within the next few months, we're expecting Netflix to announce the Outer Banks season 4 release date soon. Cobra Kai season 6 premieres on July 18, and its release date was announced in May. Emily in Paris season 4 premieres on Netflix on Aug. 15, and its release date was also announced in May.

If Outer Banks season 4 is coming in September, as one of the people commenting on Crane's post suggested, we could have the release date announced in late July, but it's always up to Netflix to reveal those dates. Of course, we'll let you know when that happens!

Stay tuned for more news about Outer Banks season 4!
