Griselda episode 1 recap: "The Lady Comes to Town"
The first episode of a show is always one of the best episodes, and this goes for Griselda too. When we first meet our titular character, she's shown huffing, puffing, and limping as she enters what looks to be the front door of her house. As she looks for the bathroom, she holds on to the side of her waist as if she's been injured. Once she arrives in the bathroom, she then pulls down her pants to reveal a gaping wound on her waist. She patches up the wound and then takes pain meds before staring into the mirror with a tiresome look. The Griselda title card then pops up on the screen.
A phone rings, and a sleeping woman named Carmen picks it up. Carmen is at her house in Miami, Florida. Griselda has called Carmen to ask for her help. Based on how Griselda talks to her, they've known each other for a while.
Griselda explains to Carmen that something happened between her and a man named Alberto and that she needs a favor. While we watch Griselda's side of the conversation, Griselda is shown packing things into a bag. She tells Carmen that she and her kids will be coming to Miami, so she needs a place to stay. Carmen doesn't get the chance to give Griselda her decision because Griselda thanks her and then hangs up the phone. Griselda will be arriving in Miami with her kids in the morning.
She gathers all three of her kids, who are boys, and they throw their bags in the car before leaving the house. We find out that they're leaving Medellín, Colombia, and it's the year 1978. As they make their way to the airport, we find out that Alberto is Griselda's husband. She tells her sons that she's getting a divorce from him. We know the names of two of her sons so far: Dixon and Ozzy.
Finally arriving in Miami, Griselda and her kids make their way to Carmen's house. Griselda tells Carmen that she'll only be staying until she gets on her feet and finds a place. Once Carmen leaves the room, Dixon asks Griselda how she knows Carmen. She explains to them that they met her before Colombia. She tells them that she and Alberto used to hang out with Carmen when they would go to New York.
The show then cuts to Griselda and Carmen having dinner at a restaurant, where we find out that Carmen was once married to a man named Reynaldo and now owns her own travel agency. Griselda tells Carmen that she looks up to her for divorcing Reynaldo, "coming out," and starting her own business. She tells her that she'd like to start a business of her own too, and that she's officially out of the drug business. This is when we find out what Griselda meant by "coming out." She and Carmen know each other from working in the drug business together. Carmen then offers Griselda a job at her travel agency to help get her on her feet.
Griselda arrives back at Carmen's house and looks in the closet for her bag. She opens the bag and takes out some drugs. Could this mean Griselda was lying to Carmen? Is she not done with the drug business? The next morning, Griselda sits at her desk at the travel agency, smoking a cigarette. She then calls a man named Arturo. Arturo is shown overseeing a bunch of workers as they make drugs. During their phone conversation, we find out that Arturo is an old friend of Griselda's back in Medellín. He was also her and Alberto's accountant in the drug business. Arturo informs Griselda that some people are looking for her, but it's unclear who those people are at the moment.
Griselda then tells Arturo that she escaped from Medellín with a kilo of cocaine and needs to sell it so that she can start a new life in Miami. Although Arturo disagrees with her plan, he knows he can't stop her. According to Griselda, there's a place called "The Mutiny" in Miami where all the drug activity happens. She plans to go there to sell the kilo.
Later that night, she arrives at The Mutiny and sets her sights on some men who seem to be the people she needs to be in contact with to get the kilo sold. She intentionally bumps into one of the guys to set her plan into motion. They sit down and have drinks, and Griselda offers the man some of her cocaine. She then talks her way into conversing with the man's boss, whom Griselda really wanted to talk to since she arrived at the club. We find out that the man Griselda was initially talking to was named Johnny and Johnny's boss is named Amilcar.
Griselda tries to convince Amilcar to buy her kilo of cocaine, but Amilcar doesn't take the bait because he doesn't see it as a good business move. He then tells her to leave his section in the club. As Griselda and Johnny leave the club, Johnny physically assaults her and takes her drugs. The show then cuts to a flashback of Griselda and Alberto arriving at Alberto's brother's house in Medellín. This flashback shows what led up to Griselda leaving Medellín.
In the flashback, Alberto tells Griselda they lost more drug shipments in New York and that his brother Fernando wants his money. Since they don't have the money, Alberto tells Griselda that in order to pay off their debt, she has to sleep with Fernando. Although Griselda doesn't want to do it, she ends up going through with it anyway. Then, we cut back to the present time, where Griselda finds Johnny, beats him with a baseball bat, and takes back her drugs. She also tells him to get her a meeting with a guy who could possibly buy her drugs.
Later that day, Johnny shows up at Griselda's job at the travel agency to tell her he set up the meeting for later that night. He also rats her out to Carmen about selling drugs. A furious Carmen tells Griselda she's fired and that she wants her out of her house by the end of the night. But Griselda manages to convince her to let her stay until the next day. Later, Griselda goes to a local diner and talks to one of the employees she befriended a few days before. She asks him to pretend to be her bodyguard for the night, to which he agrees.
Griselda and her pretend bodyguard show up at the meeting with the drug dealer. We find out that the drug dealer's name is Eddie. Griselda manages to convince Eddie to buy her drugs for $20,000, and they celebrate. But their celebration is cut short when a gunman enters the room and starts shooting. The gunman is revealed to be a member of Amilcar's crew. Another person in Amilcar's crew enters the room and steals Griselda's drugs, but he lets her go free. Everyone is killed inside the room but Griselda and her pretend bodyguard. Griselda takes her purse that's filled with the money and leaves the establishment.
The show then cuts back to the flashback after Griselda has slept with Fernando. She asks one of Fernando's men to drive her somewhere. He takes her to a bar, where she meets up with Alberto to tell him that she did what was asked. They argue, and Griselda tells Alberto that she's done with him and will be leaving. Alberto tells Griselda that she won't get far in life without him, and then Griselda shoots him in the face, killing him. She also shoots at one of Alberto's men, but he's able to shoot back, and a bullet pierces her side. This is how she got the injury we see at the beginning of the episode. Griselda gets in a car and drives away.
Back in the present time, Griselda returns to The Mutiny to meet with Amilcar. This time, she manages to get him to try some of her drugs. Although he likes them, Amilcar tells Griselda he doesn't need them because he already has a supplier. But Griselda tells him that now that he's taken over Eddie's territory, he's going to need a lot more drugs. She informs him of her previous experience in drug trafficking, saying that she moved cocaine from Medellín to New York for 10 years. In the end, Amilcar seemingly agrees to give Griselda a chance. He tells her that if she manages to bring in more drugs next month, he'll make her his supplier. They shake on it, and then Griselda walks away with a smile on her face.

Griselda episode 2 recap: "Rich White People"
The second episode opens with Fernando's crew member searching around Griselda and Alberto's home in Medellín for clues to where Griselda could've gone. This is the same crew member who drove Griselda to the bar where Alberto was in the flashback scene. We find out that his name is Dario. After looking around the house and not finding anything, Dario calls Fernando. Fernando tells Dario that Griselda is a former prostitute and that maybe her old job knows where she could've gone. These are the men that Arturo was referring to in episode 1 when he told Griselda that some people were looking for her.
Elsewhere, at the Miami International Airport, Griselda waits for Arturo and a bunch of women to arrive from Medellín. One of the women is a close friend of Griselda's named Isa. They all load in Griselda's van and travel to a motel where they'll be staying. When they show up at the motel, Dixon, Uber, and Ozzy (Griselda's sons) are playing around in the motel's pool, which isn't filled with water.
Griselda then has the women line up outside her motel room, with each one entering one by one as she calls them. We find out that this is a part of Griselda's plan to get the drugs that Amilcar requested. Each woman packed a bag of cocaine in their bra to bring over to Miami. We also learn that these women are sex workers.
Elsewhere, Dade County police are asking a witness some questions about what happened at the restaurant where Eddie's murder took place. One of the cops is a woman whose name is unknown, and the other cop is a man named Jensen. After the questioning is over, the female cop tries to get more information out of the witness in private. We find out that the woman cop is actually an intelligence analyst. The witness tells her that there was a woman with Eddie the night of his murder, but she didn't look like his girlfriend. She told her that the woman looked like a boss.
We cut to Griselda and Arturo at the motel, tallying up how much cocaine they've acquired and putting it in a suitcase. Arturo then informs Griselda that not only is Fernando looking for her but also Dario. A shocked Griselda then sits down on the motel bed. Back in Medellín, Dario shows up at Griselda's old job and is told by one of Griselda's old co-workers that Griselda and a bunch of other girls left Medellín to go to Miami. Now, he knows where to find her.
Back in Miami, Griselda packs up the suitcase containing all of the drugs and has her pretend bodyguard turned gunman put it in the van. The gunman's name is Chucho. Griselda is about to take the suitcase to Amilcar, but she needs to talk with Carmen first. Griselda tries to convince Carmen to let her buy more plane tickets through her travel agency, but Carmen refuses to do so.
At Amilcar's place, Griselda tells Amilcar that she has the drugs he asked for, but he refuses to buy them from her. He explains to Griselda how he told his supplier about her offering him drugs at a lower price, and that made the supplier renegotiate his prices. This is why he doesn't need her drugs anymore. We find out that Amilcar's supplier is named Papo. Feeling betrayed, Griselda curses at Amilcar and Papo before Arturo tries to pull her out of the room. But they're stopped by one of Amilcar's men. Amilcar walks up to Griselda and tells her he's going to tell every dealer in Miami not to buy her drugs as a punishment. Arturo and Griselda are then allowed to leave.
We cut to the Dade County police department, where we finally learn the intelligence analyst's name. Her name is June. She looks over the evidence that was recovered at the restaurant where Eddie was murdered and notices a cigarette with lipstick on it. She takes it to the captain of the police department, hoping that it'll get him to listen to her opinions on the case, but he basically shoos her away.
Back at the motel, the girls from Medellín are worried and wondering when they'll finally get paid for supplying Griselda with drugs. Isa informs them that Griselda will pay them soon, and then she goes to talk to her. The conversation ends with Isa convincing Griselda to go out for a night of partying. They arrive at a bar with elderly white people, where they decide to share some of their drugs. This is when Griselda comes up with an idea.
She heads back to the motel and informs Arturo and Chucho of her plan. Her plan is to get more drugs from a drug dealer named Panesso so that they can share them with rich white people. She hopes that by giving them a taste of the drugs for free, they'll come back wanting more, and there goes her consumer base. The only issue is that Griselda has to fly in Panesso from Medellín and convince him to sell her more drugs. Although Panesso wants no part in Griselda's plan, he agrees to attend her event later that night. Elsewhere, at the Miami International Airport, Fernando and Dario finally arrive.
It's now late at night, and Griselda's event is happening on a yacht. The girls from Medellín are sharing drugs with the rich white guests, and Griselda starts to see a profit being made. She's also seeing some of the guests offer to be drug dealers for her. This way, Griselda will have an easier way to sell to more wealthy white people. But then a problem arises when Papo arrives at the event. Fortunately, Panesso steps in and announces that he's Griselda's partner and Papo backs off.
After a successful event, Griselda sends the girls back to Medellín. Isa tells Griselda that they'll be back in two weeks with more drugs. Then, early the next day, Griselda calls Carmen on the phone and tells her about how successful her event was. She also explains to Carmen how beneficial it would be for her to team up with her. Carmen doesn't initially like the idea, but Griselda manages to convince her to sell her more plane tickets.
Then, Griselda makes her way back to the motel only to find Fernando and Dario in her kids' room. Fernando reveals to Dixon, Uber, and Ozzy that Griselda killed Alberto. Then, he takes Griselda to the room next door to beat her up. Hearing his mother's screams, Uber runs over to the room, gets Griselda's gun out of the drawer, and aims it at Fernando. But before he can shoot him, Dario tackles him to the ground. Dario then shoots Fernando in the head, killing him. He walks out of the room afterward.
Griselda follows Dario outside the room and asks him why he helped her. Dario responds by saying that he's never killed a kid. Griselda then asks him what he's going to do going forward, and he doesn't give her an answer. So, she tells him to help her clean up the motel room, and then they'll talk. The episode ends with Dario putting out his cigarette and then walking back into the motel room to do what Griselda said.

Griselda episode 3 recap: "Mutiny"
The third episode opens with a time jump of three months. One of the guests who was at Griselda's event and offered to be one of her dealers is approached by one of Papo's men while leaving his tennis lesson. The dealer is named Danny. Papo's henchman beats up Danny as a message to Griselda. The show then cuts to Griselda arriving at a big house where she, her sons, Arturo, Dario, and all the women from Medellín are now staying. The drug business seems to be going well for Griselda as she passes out gifts to the girls and her sons.
She walks over to Arturo, who informs her that the Ochoas called. He tells Griselda that a man named Rafa Salazar wants to meet with her and her partner Panesso to talk about something important. Then, he tells her he thinks the meeting will be about buying them out. Griselda isn't too sure about letting this happen though.
The episode cuts to Jensen and June questioning a witness about a recent shooting. According to the witness, Amilcar shot and killed someone as they were getting out of their car. June then asks the witness if he'd come back to the police department to look at photos to see if they can pin a suspect. Later, Griselda talks to Isa in the kitchen of their new house, and Isa reveals to Griselda that she's made her name for herself. She tells her that people in Medellín are calling her "The Godmother." Griselda brushes it off, but it's obvious that she likes the new nickname.
Then, there's a cut to Griselda, Panesso, and Dario arriving in the Bahamas to meet with Rafa and his men. Rafa brings them to a warehouse filled with cocaine. We find out here who the Ochoas are. Rafa tells Griselda that the Ochoas are the biggest suppliers in Colombia and that they're looking to expand. Rafa is a business partner of the Ochoas, and he runs their new drug smuggling hub from the Bahamas. He even shows Griselda how they will go about transporting the drugs there.
The show cuts to Jenson and June at the police station talking about the recent case involving Amilcar shooting and killing someone. June tells Jenson that the witness agreed to come into the police station to talk. She also mentions to him that they didn't get any fingerprints from the crime scene, which isn't good because they could've easily matched them up with Amilcar's fingerprints that they already have on file. But unfortunately for June, Jenson doesn't listen to her.
Back in the Bahamas, Griselda, Panesso, and Dario walk up to Rafa's house and see Marta Ochoa, Rafa's girlfriend. As they sit down at a table, Rafa introduces them to a white man named Max Mermelstein. He tells them that Max's job will be overseeing the smuggling side of their operation.
In this conversation, we find out that the Ochoas' goal is to control the U.S. drug market. They want everything to remain in the family and don't want any competition from other dealers. Since Griselda has a successful drug trafficking operation going on in Miami, she's seen as a threat to the Ochoas. That's why she was invited to the Bahamas. The Ochoas want to buy her out by offering her 15 million dollars. But Griselda doesn't end up accepting the offer. This upsets her partner Panesso though.
On the plane back to Miami, Griselda pacifies Panesso by telling him that he'll be getting 25% of what she makes going forward. Her next plan is to get all the drug dealers in Miami to meet with her. She believes that if they unite against the Ochoas, they won't be pushed out of the drug trafficking business. Initially, she is able to convince the dealers not to take Rafa's buyout, but once they learn that Amilcar will be taking the buyout, they change their minds. Now, Griselda has to figure out how to get Amilcar not to take the buyout.
She asks Rivi, Amilcar's right-hand man, to take her to Amilcar so that she can try to convince him. On the car ride there, Rivi tells Griselda that Amilcar is under surveillance by the police because he's linked to a murder. It's the same murder that was mentioned earlier in the episode. Amilcar believes that if he takes the buyout, he'll have some sort of peace. Desperate to have Amilcar on her side, Griselda tells him that she'll kill the witness who saw the murder. That way, Amilcar will be cleared as a suspect, and he can reject Rafa's buyout offer. Griselda has Dario and Chucho do the dirty work.
Back at the police station, June tells the captain that she'd like to step down from the homicide department because it's not a good fit for her. Although the captain hates to see June do this, he tells her he understands and accepts her request. Then, the episode cuts to Dario and Chucho at the witness's house. Just as they are about to kill the witness, a woman with a baby walks into the room. The witness has a wife and a child. This complicates the task. Dario then calls Griselda, asking her what he should do. Griselda tells him to still go through with the murder. Later, Dario calls Griselda to tell her that the job is done.
The next morning, June arrives at the witness house to find the witness and his wife dead in the living room. Elsewhere in the house, their baby is found safe and alive in its crib. At Amilcar's place, Amilcar and Griselda have joined forces. He tells Griselda that it's best that he is seen as the person in charge in front of the dealers and Rafa because they're not going to listen to her. But behind the scenes, Griselda will be the one in charge. Although Griselda doesn't like this idea, she knows it's the only way for her plan to work. She and Amilcar meet up with Rafa at a restaurant, and a deal is made that works for all the dealers.
As Griselda is headed to the restroom, she is stopped by Rivi. Rivi congratulates her on her new partnership with Amilcar and Rafa, and then tells her that once she's fed up with the partnership, she can reach out to him for help. Griselda gives him a curious glance before walking away. The next scene cuts to the police department. Jenson and the police captain enter June's office as she packs her things and tells her that the fingerprints from the crime scene match with Amilcar. June had gone against Jenson's back and had the lab get the fingerprints off the car. Now, they can officially arrest him.
Back at Griselda's house, she and everyone else in the house get ready to go to The Mutiny later that night to celebrate the new deal. Then, the episode cuts back to the police station, where June meets a man named Diaz. He's a cop who covers important homicide narcotics cases. He convinces June to go with him to arrest Amilcar.
As Rivi drives Amilcar around in Miami, June, Diaz, and other cops begin to surround them to get them to stop. Amilcar and Rivi eventually stop and get out of the car, but they immediately start shooting at the cops. Then, they both run off in different directions. June chases after Amilcar and eventually catches and arrests him. The episode cuts to later that night at The Mutiny. Griselda, her girls, and Arturo walk to the VIP area and see Panesso, Rafa, Papo, Max, and other dealers drinking together.
Then, Panesso walks up to her and tells her that Amilcar has been arrested. Griselda tells him she can still try to convince them to let her be in charge, but Panesso tells her that Papo already got all of Amilcar's territories. This means that he's now in charge, and according to Panesso, he doesn't want to do business with Griselda. To make matters worse for Griselda, Panesso betrays her and tells her he's going with Papo and taking all her dealers with him. In one last-ditch effort, Griselda tries to convince Rafa to put her in charge, but Rafa rejects her request.
The episode cuts to the police station where June, Diaz, and other cops celebrate Amilcar's arrest. Diaz pulls June to the side to talk to her about a new program he's in the process of putting together called CENTAC. He explains that it's a central tactical unit consisting of feds and local agents. After hearing Diaz out, June decides to join the program. The episode ends with Griselda outside her house smoking a cigarette. She puts it out and then stares off into the distance with a determined look on her face.

Griselda episode 4 recap: "Middle Management"
The formation of CENTAC unites June and Raul Diaz as they continue their investigation into the narco-related murders plaguing Miami. Elsewhere, Griselda and Dario move to a new home to keep her children safe. The house belongs to a guy named Rigo and his cousins, they're "Marielitos," referring to the Cuban emigration to the US in 1980. Griselda previously helped them get on their feet by giving them jobs, so now they form her new crew, an entire army, really. Griselda is determined to get her territory back and take out the men who betrayed her, namely Panesso and Amilcar's former righthand man, Papo.
She wastes no time in getting down to business. Dario, Chucho, and Rigo are instructed to take care of these men. They gun Panesso down at an outdoor shopping mall and set a bomb off at Papo's house. Meanwhile, Rafa and Rivi keep tabs on everything Griselda is doing, determining she's behind these murders, which have made the news and attracted CENTAC.
Rafa sets a new meeting with Griselda to inform her that her bomb didn't work. It killed Papo's father, but Papo is still out there and he's pissed. He sends his enforcer to the house where they murder Isa, Rigo, and one of Rigo's cousins, leaving their decapitated bodies in the yard as a message for Griselda. Rivi, who has somehow managed to avoid jailtime despite working with Amilcar, contacts Griselda to let her know he's on her side and he wants to help her get back to the top.
With Rivi's assistance, Griselda is able to find Papo's sicario, his gang of enforcers, and her men kill them. But this time Griselda goes with them to ensure they know that it was her who did it. She can't bring herself to decapitate the man who murdered her friends, but she does shoot him. A witness later tells June and Raul that he saw a woman at the scene and June finally convinces Raul to understand that a woman, a lady narco, is behind all of these deaths.
Even though Papo is still out there, Griselda is tired of waiting around and she wants to start a war with the Ochoas and anyone else who has taken her property. Rafa and Papo initially proposed Griselda a deal, a multi-million dollar buyout so she can get her territory back, but that's not enough for her anymore. She wants everything. She instructs her men to go steal all of the Ochoa's product, with Rivi acting as a secret source to give her the necessary intel. She wants to coax Rafa back to the table so they can renegotiate.
Dario isn't pleased with this development and he's even less enthused when he learns that Griselda is pregnant with his child. He wants to leave this life behind, or, at the very least, just take the money and settle into her old territory without the constant need for expansion. Griselda is too far gone to consider this. She even has one of her men, Rigo's brother, murder Papo in broad daylight with a knife. He refuses to give Griselda up, essentially sacrificing himself to avenge Rigo. By this point, June and Raul have found some more intel and now they know Griselda's name and who they're up against.
Eventually, her plan does work and Rafa calls her to say that Fabio Ochoa wants to meet her in person. They plan a new meeting and Griselda makes it clear that she wants to be in charge and she wants to run Miami, so if the Ochoas want to keep selling there, they have to do it thorugh her. Fabio is impressed by Griselda and agrees to her deal, but only after having Rafa murder Arturo right in front of her to ensure she understands her punishment for messing with them.

Griselda episode 5 recap: "Paradise Lost"
We skip forward three years after where we left off at the end of episode 4 to see that Griselda is thriving in Miami with her cocaine empire. Elsewhere, June and Raul bring their case to Washington DC in the hopes of gaining more resources. They've hit a dead end in Miami because Griselda has everything under her control, even some of the police are in her pocket.
We meet a new player, a man named John Roberts, who Rafa introduces to Griselda. She's unimpressed with him despite the fact he's supposedly a heavy-hitter who knows how to move product. Beyond that, Griselda just hates Rafa and his ideas in general because she maintains her grudge against him for killing Arturo all those years ago. Griselda's children have matured, including her newest son with Dario, Michael Corleone. At least one of them, Dixon, even regularly uses their product.
Despite going to DC for help, Griselda still manages to infiltrate CENTAC and plant a story about Raul that gets him taken off the case. She even leaks it to the press to ensure her bases are covered. The problem is, the cops are still getting intel somewhere and Griselda is disturbed by the idea they might have a rat among them. Rivi advises her to clean house, so she tells her men to do just that in the two weeks leading up to Dario's big birthday party. There's a bloody montage as Rivi and Griselda's enforcers systematically take out anyone they think could be a leak or informant.
However, June is also very clever and she devises a psychological ploy to get under Griselda's skin. After they tighten their ranks, she chooses a stash house in Ft. Lauderdale that no one should know about to raid. Griselda freaks out, wondering how the cops could possibly know about that location, unaware it came from old intel. When Rivi tells her this, during Dario's party, she's becomes extremely paranoid, on top of being very high on her own supply, not a great combination.
Griselda starts seeing potential leaks everywhere and begins snapping and turning on the people she trusts most, including Dario and Carmen. Speaking of Carmen, June tries to coerce her into turning on Griselda, telling her that the Ft. Lauderdale house had her name on the deed, which could implicate her, but Carmen turns her down.
Still, Rivi reassures Griselda later that he's confident they don't have an informant problem and that the cops were only using older intel, that they're safe. Griselda doesn't believe him and even goes so far as to accuse Dario of being an informant. Amplifying matters, Griselda walks into a room where Estella and Dario are chatting and she immediately accuses Dario of cheating on her. They get into a nasty fight that ends with Griselda picking up the golden gun she purchased him as a gift and shooting out his car.
Then she brings it into the party and humiliates the John Roberts guy by making him strip and bark like a dog before telling other guests to start having sex. Carmen arrives in time to keep things from getting even worse, taking Griselda into the house to calm her down. That's when she tells Griselda about the offer June made her, thinking Griselda will accept the warning and maybe leave the business for good, with Carmen offering to help her and her kids escape. But instead Griselda goes ballistic and tries to kill Carmen, only stopping when Dario pulls her off. Not long after that, she also kicks Dario out of the house.
Dixon leaves Dario's party and goes to a club with a girl. Another guy flirts with her and gets pushy, causing Dixon to snap and pull out a gun that he fires off multiple times. Like mother like son! He leaves and the cops chase him. Dixon leads them straight to Chucho's house, who he's used to going to in order to solve all of his problems. Dixon tries to convince Chucho to take the blame for the shooting.
At this point, Chucho has a wife and a young son and his wife says that he needs to leave the Blancos alone and get out of this situation. Chucho punches Dixon to get him to leave and Dixon tells his mother, leading Griselda to believe that Chucho is the informant. She tells Rivi to take care of it. Rivi shoots Chucho while he's driving, but he misses and kills Chucho's two-year-old son instead. Griselda is horrified by this mistake, especially when she sees that her children are watching a news report on the death and likely know she was responsible.
The episode ends with Carmen walking right into the CENTAC offices and telling June she's changed her mind and will take her deal.

Griselda episode 6 recap: "Adios, Miami"
The accidental slaying of Chucho's son is pretty much the final straw for Griselda, especially as she's now alienated everyone in her life apart from her sons and Rivi. The episode begins with Griselda partying with Marta Ochoa, sister of Fabio and a high-ranking member of the cartel. Things take a turn for the worse, however, when Marta suddenly overdoses on cocaine and falls through a glass table, dying instantly. Rivi and Griselda realize they need to get out of town ASAP, because the Ochoas definitely won't forgive this.
They find out that Marta has a huge secret stash of coke in her closet so they take it and intend to take her body with them to make it look like Marta just ran off with it all. But Rafa shows up before they can leave so they're forced to leave Marta's body behind, stuffed into a hot tub. Needless to say, Rafa and the Ochoas are pissed when they discover Marta's corpse.
Griselda then reaches out to Dario who informs her that it's over between them. He's taken their son Michael and left Miami, forcing Griselda to leave town with only Rivi and her other kids.
With CENTAC, June tries to convince Carmen to give up more details regarding the murders, but Carmen just says she wants out of all of this and to be placed in a safe house.
Rafa is on the warpath to find Griselda. He instructs his men to tell him the second their coke hits the streets. It doesn't take long for them to track down Griselda after Rivi starts selling again in their new place of hiding in Los Angeles.
Rivi gets a call tipping him off to the fact that Rafa knows where they are and is on the way, but he and Griselda have created a contingency plan. Griselda sends her sons out of the motel room and calls the cops on herself while Rivi takes the boys somewhere safe. By the time Rafa and his men show up, Griselda is being arrested and she has her lawyer ensure she'll get protective custody. Because June doesn't have any evidence to link Griselda to the murders, all they have her on is drug charges and she'll likely be out of prison in less than ten years.
But June has another trick up her sleeve. She puts a national APB out on Rivi and makes it seem like he kidnapped Griselda's youngest son, Ozzy. They're able to pick him up quickly and they tell Griselda that he flipped on her when threatened with the death penalty. Now he'll be their star witness in the murder case they're building against her... or so they think.
It turns out Rivi wasn't lying when he said he was Griselda's ride or die. Despite initially turning on her, he then messes up the entire case by intentionally targeting the DA's assistant and getting caught up in a huge phone sex scandal. It gets leaked to the public, making Rivi a terrible witness and the case falls apart completely. Griselda ends up only getting about seven years behind bars, and only for the drug charges.
The years pass and June later visits Griselda in prison again to bring her some grave news. Griselda's sons, Uber, Dixon, and Ozzy, have all been killed, implied to be murdered by the Ochoas or rival cartels. Michael survives, but is taken to Colombia to live with Dario's mother. As for Dario, he also gets tragically gunned down as Michael is kidnapped. It's unclear how Michael ends up with Dario's mom, but he is left alive.
When Griselda finally gets out of jail, she returns to the beach in Los Angeles, the last happy place she went with her boys before going to prison. The series ends with some text revealing that the real Griselda Blanco was gunned down by an unknown assassin on September 3, 2012 when she was 69 years old.
