1. Breaking Bad

Release Year: 2008

Creator: Vince Gilligan

Starring: Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, Bob Odenkirk, Giancarlo Esposito

Breaking Bad is arguably the greatest television show of all-time, so it was a no-brainer to have Vince Gilligan’s story about a high school chemistry teacher who morphed into the most dangerous meth cook in the country come in at the top spot.

Bryan Cranston won the Emmy for best lead actor in a drama four times for his portrayal as the lung cancer-stricken teacher Walter White who begins a second career as a meth cook to provide for his family after he dies. He can’t start a meth empire all by himself, so White happens upon former student Jesse Pinkman (Paul) who escaped the clutches of the DEA where White’s brother-in-law Hank (Norris) works.
