From the creators of the FX legal thriller Damages gives us a story of a family hiding a dark secret as family ties are tested when the black sheep of the family returns home.

The Rayburn family is the center of this Netflix Original drama. When Danny Rayburn (Mendelsohn) returns home for the 45th anniversary of his parent’s hotel in the Florida Keys, the black sheep of the family threatens to ruin the special reunion with family and friends. He knows he’s not really welcomed with open arms, but more with crossed arms and an anticipation of when he’ll do something to embarrass the family.

John Rayburn (Chandler) is the moral compass of the family as a detective in the sheriff’s office and has always looked out for older brother Danny but he doesn’t think it’s a good idea to have Danny help out with the family business. In fact, only his mother (Spacek) thinks it is a good idea, but there’s something about his intentions that makes you wonder if he’s playing a hidden agenda.

The Florida Keys paint a serene and peaceful portrait of a paradise but that picture doesn’t jive with the Rayburn family. As great as the first season was, the second was even better.
