15. Aziz Ansari: Intimate Moments for a Sensual Evening

Aziz Ansari has been one of the primary beneficiaries of the Netflix boon with several specials available (more on that later) and in conjunction with his work on Parks and Recreation has blown into a full-fledged superstar in recent years.

Ansari’s first special was taped on July 1, 2009, from The Brentwood Theatre in Los Angeles as he finished his Glow In the Dark tour and originally aired on Comedy Central. Ansari opens up with a bit on gay rights and how he is advocating for them after taking a trip to a Starbucks. He spins out of the opening number to talk about misleading advertising about his sheets, getting the sniffles on a plane which infuriated the guy he was sitting next to and his random roommate all in the first 10 minutes.

From there Ansari picks on his cousin Harris and how he harasses him on Facebook in a playful way that borders on bullying, how hyped white people get about everything, Cold Stone Creamery and their monstrous portions, Kanye West and R. Kelly.

If you haven’t seen this special, you’re doing a giant disservice to yourself by depriving yourself of such hilarity.
