Hugo is based on Bryan Selznick’s The Invention of Hugo Cabret . John Logan adapted the graphic novel in to a script for the film, and Martin Scorsese, possibly the greatest film director of all time, directed the movie.

Set in the 1930s in Paris, Hugo Cabret (Asa Butterfield) tries to deal with the death of his father and inventor while also trying to carry on his father’s legacy, which leads him on an epic adventure.

With this being Oscar season and all, there has never been a better time to watch Hugo on Netflix. As you might remember, the movie was nominated for 11 Oscars back in 2012. The film was even nominated for Best Picture and Best Adapted Screenplay. The film did win five Oscars in technical and art categories.
