Of all the films on this list, this is perhaps the most recent one, as it was released, literally, weeks before this list was compiled. This is a military sci-fi film, directed by Nic Mathieu, which takes Black Hawk Down and brings it into the supernatural realm to great effect. This film, perhaps, has one of the biggest budgets of a typical Netflix exclusive film…because it wasn’t originally a Netflix exclusive film.

It was originally slated to appear on the Universal slate, but at the last minute, it was pulled from the schedule. Legendary Pictures – the same company that produced Man of Steel – was behind the original making of this film, which is another reason it has some of the best cinematographic values ever.

One of the main premises of this film is that the members of Delta Force – who are considered the heroes – are being picked off, one by one, by a force that isn’t visible to the naked eye, and this adds an element of terror that never existed in a traditional military sci-fi drama before. Because it’s a recent release, stats and figures such as profit and loss have yet to be released. However, there’s a good chance that this film could shatter some Netflix records!
