This movie harkens all the way back to the 1980s when gentrification was a bad thing, and Donald Trump was seen as a crazy joke for trying to push this nonsense on New York City. So begins the premise of this film, in which elderly tenants who live in an apartment building on its way to being demolished seek help in the form of small robots who, ultimately, help them keep their residence. The criminally-forgotten Hume Cronyn teams up with Jessica Tandy to become everyone’s favorite grandparents, and the pair, together, is simply too adorable for words.
