21. Let’s Be Evil

Released on: August 5, 2016

Directed by: Martin Owen

Written by: Elizabeth Morris, Martin Owen

Starring: Kara Tointon, Elizabeth Morris, Jamie Bernadette

As we move towards the world where virtual reality is quickly becoming an everyday thing, it would make sense that our worst fears would be discussed – and, eventually, realized – in a film where gifted students use a form of virtual reality (in this film, it’s called augmented reality) to see the world differently and to help them with their learning. Of course, this is the sci-fi genre, and nothing goes according to plan, and of course the big bad machines take over and the world goes to hell.
