2. Extraterrestrial

Release Year: 2014

Director: Colin Minihan

Starring: Brittany Allen, Freddie Stroma, Jesse Moss

A group of friends drives to a cabin in the woods for a weekend getaway. Things seem harmless enough until the friends witness something unknown crashing into the trees in the distance. After the group investigates, they discover what appears to be a UFO.

Government conspiracies make their way into the plot, and what would an alien flick be without them. Members of the group start to drop like flies and we get a look at just how impossible it could be to fight off an alien invasion.
Extraterrestrial really sets a scary tone with the opening scene involving a woman being abducted in a phone booth.
Make no mistake, this film is more than a sci-fi thriller, this is as much horror as those other genres.

The whole film revolves around the threat of aliens towards the human race, but humans might shockingly be the biggest threat to human life. Kudos to the Vicious Brothers for writing a great script.
