50. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning

Release Year: 2006

Director: Jonathan Liebesman

Starring: Jordanna Brester, Matt Bomer, Lee Tergesen, R. Lee Ermey, Jared Handley, Diora Baird, Andrew Bryniarski

The original Texas Chainsaw Massacre is horror movie royalty, but this movie from 2006 is the closest thing to the original. In this movie, we see the beginning of what life was like for Thomas Hewitt before he grew up to be Leatherface, a chainsaw-wielding lunatic who is enabled by his older brother Charlie who is pretending to be Sheriff Hoyt. See, Charlie executed the last sheriff and has stolen his identity since and that makes it easy for his little brother to get away with murder, literally, in his secluded home.

When a car accident leaves a group of people stranded and needing help, they stumble upon the house that will forever change their lives, and for some, end their lives.
