Starring:  Ryan Kwanten, Amber Valletta, Donnie Wahlberg

Lisa and her husband Jamie are preparing to pick up dinner when an unmarked box shows up to their house. The couple finds a ventriloquist doll named Billy inside the package. Jamie leaves the house to pick up dinner and finds Lisa dead with her tongue ripped out with Billy lying near in a puddle of blood.

Jamie returns to Lisa’s hometown to take care of the funeral, at the same time discovering the doll came from a lady named Mary Shaw who uses to live in the town. Mary Shaw is a scary character based on the fact that she had no children but a large collection of dolls that she supposedly treated as children. As Jamie searches for answers and to clear his name of his wife’s murder, all hell breaks loose in the town of Ravens Fair.

This story comes from the same two men responsible for the original Saw film in James Wan and Leigh Wannell. Donnie Wahlberg, also seen in the Saw franchise makes an appearance in Dead Silence and doesn’t disappoint. Dolls were never more frightening before Dead Silence.
