Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny is the sequel to the Oscar-winning film Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon the premiered in 2000. The film is also based on the final book in Du Lu Wang’s book Crane-Iron book series.

Only Michelle Yueh returns from the original cast of Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon. Yueh reprises her role as Yu Shu Lien.

The film is Netflix’s second original film, following Beasts of No Nation. It’s clear Sword of Destiny is not as good as Beasts of No Nation, and it’s definitely not as good as the original Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon.
