Netflix keeps a constant stream of new movies coming and going from its service, so it can be challenging to keep up with everything. Which Netflix movies just dropped this week? Which ones recently left the service or are on their way out?

For the weekend of Friday the 13th, we’ve got a couple of spine-tingling offerings on our weekly curated list of films to watch and skip on Netflix. There’s a hilarious and violent slasher comedy alongside the return of the excellent 2014 movie It Follows, and more.

Here’s the Netflix movies that are most worth watching this weekend and which ones you’re fine to skip, at least for now.

The Conference

WATCH! – In honor of Friday the 13th, Netflix is releasing a new Swedish slasher comedy full of bloody shenanigans. Imagine what would happen if a group of employees sent to a seemingly relaxing retreat were suddenly forced to square off against each other and a violent killer.

Deliver Us From Evil

SKIP! – This movie is a very basic, boring, and run-of-the-mill exorcism film. The detective storyline is a little more interesting than anything else it has going on, but it’s really not worth watching with so many other great options available on Netflix.

It Follows

WATCH! – Get into the Halloween spirit with this excellent horror film starring underrated scream queen Maika Monroe. It Follows used to be on Netflix for a long time before it was removed, and now it’s back on the service just in time for the scariest day of the year.

Spy Kids 3: Game Over

SKIP! – Between Spy Kids, Spy Kids 2, and the newest Spy Kids movie starring Zachary Levi and Gina Rodriguez, you really don’t need this particular Spy Kids entry, which is one of the weakest in the entire franchise. Now that Netflix has added the first and second movies back, I’d recommend checking those out instead, especially the first—you can’t go wrong with Antonio Banderas and Carla Gugino!

WATCH! – Based on the popular book series by Anna Todd, After is the first movie in a romantic franchise that now spans five films, with more in the works. The books have a wild backstory as the story actually started as One Direction fanfiction, specifically centered on Harry Styles. And people ate it up. Four of the five films are currently available on Netflix.
