Vikings: Valhalla season 3

A sequel series of the fan-favorite History channel historical drama Vikings, Netflix’s Vikings: Valhalla made its premiere in February 2022. Just like the sire series, Valhalla became another fan-favorite and one of the best Netflix shows available right now. Thankfully, when Netflix ordered the series back in 2019, the streamer sanctioned 24 episodes, which divides into three seasons.

The second season of Vikings: Valhalla released in January 2023 and contained eight episodes, leaving eight more episodes to go in the original 24-episode order. Vikings: Valhalla season 2 performed well and was again critically acclaimed, making an excellent case for the series to continue beyond the forthcoming third season and maybe even expand the franchise further.

Upon the release of season 2, Netflix officially confirmed Vikings: Valhalla season 3 was on its way and even solidified a release timeframe. Even though filming has already wrapped on the third season, eight more episodes will be dropped into our watch lists in 2024. Production on season 3 took place between May and October 2022.

Considering the previous two seasons premiered in the first two months of the year, expect season 3 in January or February. There’s no need to buck the tradition of kicking off the year with action and adventure, and there’s no doubt about Vikings: Valhalla season 3 being one of the best Netflix shows to come in 2024. Get excited for more Leif, Freydis, and Harald!
