Netflix always has just what you need when you need it. Recently, the streaming giant released the comedy series Fisk, and it’s already secured a spot on the top 10 TV shows list as of Aug. 9. If you’re looking forward to watching this hilariously funny show, we must share who you can expect to see in it.

Fisk is an Australian television series created by actress and comedian Kitty Flanagan and Vincent Sheehan. Kitty also co-wrote and co-directed the series. Additionally, Kitty’s younger sister Penny Flanagan wrote the scripts for the show with Kitty, while Tom Peterson signed on as co-director.

Although Fisk is new to Netflix, it’s not actually a new show. It premiered on the Australian TV network, ABC TV, back in March 2021. It was later picked up for a second season, which began airing in October 2022 and then wrapped up in November 2022. Currently, it’s unknown if there will be a third season.

But while there are two seasons of the comedy series, only the first season is available to stream on Netflix at the moment. It’s unclear if Fisk season 2 will ever make its way to the streamer. But depending on how well the first season does on Netflix will probably determine whether the streaming giant will acquire streaming rights to the second season. This is if Netflix hasn’t already acquired the rights because the streamer could just be waiting for the right time to drop Fisk season 2. We’ll just have to wait and see what happens.

What is Fisk on Netflix about?

Fisk follows Helen Tudor-Fisk, a corporate lawyer who is forced to take a job at a small suburban law firm specializing in wills and probate after her marriage meets its end and her career implodes.

Here are details on the plot via the show’s IMDb page:

"Fast-paced comedy about high-end contracts lawyer Helen Tudor-Fisk, who is forced to take a job at a shabby, suburban law firm following a humiliating marriage breakdown and a professional fall from grace."
