Sweet Tooth and his ice cream truck have finally arrived on streaming! All ten Twisted Metal season 1 episodes are out as of July 27, 2023. If you’re a massive fan of the original PlayStation video game series, you won’t want to miss the new show.

But with so many streaming services, it’s hard to keep up with what’s streaming and where. Keep reading to learn everything you need to know to watch Twisted Metal this weekend.

Twisted Metal is the latest in a recent trend of video game adaptations. Hollywood has always adapted games, but with the success of projects like HBO’s The Last of Us and The Super Mario Bros. Movie, expect to see even more video games coming to television shortly. Sony has been trying to adapt Twisted Metal for over a decade, so this series has been a long time coming.

Captain America himself, Anthony Mackie, takes the lead in the new show as the milkman John Doe, who has been tasked with delivering a package across a desolate, dangerous post-apocalyptic landscape. He’s joined by Brooklyn Nine-Nine alum Stephanie Beatriz, Thomas Haden Church, Will Arnett, and Samoa Joe. Scream queen Neve Campbell also stars in a recurring capacity.

Is Twisted Metal on Netflix?

Unfortunately, Anthony Mackie’s latest project isn’t on Netflix, and because it belongs to NBCUniversal, that probably won’t change anytime soon. However, Netflix does have a deal with Sony and often works closely with the corporation on projects, so it’s possible that Twisted Metal could make its way to Netflix someday.

In the meantime, Mackie stars in several Netflix Originals, such as Altered CarbonThe Woman in the Window, Black Mirror, We Have a Ghost, and more. His film Synchronic co-starring Jamie Dornan, is also currently streaming.

Fans of post-apocalyptic content will find several shows on Netflix that fit the bill, such as Sweet Tooth, The Rain, Black Knight, and The Walking Dead. If Twisted Metal‘s vehicular combat appeals to you, then you’ll be happy to know that Netflix is adding most of the Fast and Furious films to its catalog beginning August 1!
