Michelle Buteau is back on Netflix with a brand new comedy series titled Survival of the Thickest, and as expected, it’s a show that’ll have you laughing to the point that you start crying. All eight episodes of the first season are available to watch now, so be sure to check it out on the streaming platform.

Survival of the Thickest is a new Netflix original series created by Michelle Buteau and
Danielle Sanchez-Witzel. It stars Buteau as Mavis Beaumont, a proudly Black, plus-size woman who, after experiencing a devasting breakup, finds herself newly single and having to rebuild her life as a struggling fashion stylist. Although starting over isn’t easy, Mavis is happy to know that she has her best friends, Khalil and Marley, to lean on and help her out.

Tone Bell plays the role of Khalil, and Tasha Smith as Marley. Garcelle Beauvais, Anissa Felix, Peppermint, Taylor Selé, Marouane Zotti, Michelle Visage, and others are also in the cast.
