To Leslie cast: Who stars in the drama film on Netflix?

If you’ve been waiting for To Leslie to make its way to Netflix, you don’t have to wait any longer because it’s finally available to stream on the streaming platform. But before you begin watching the drama film, we want to share the names of all the talented actors you can expect to see in it.

TV director Michael Morris made his feature film directorial debut with this movie. He helmed To Leslie from a screenplay written by Ryan Binaco.

Inspired by true events, To Leslie follows a troubled West Texas single mother named Leslie, who after winning the lottery, quickly burns through the money on alcohol and drugs. Flash forward six years later, Leslie attempts to rebuild her life, right her wrongs, and reconnect with her estranged son.

The independent film premiered at South by Southwest in March 2022 and then received a limited theater release in October 2022. Now, Netflix subscribers can finally see the film themselves and understand why it received critical acclaim. The movie’s leading star even received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Actress.

To Leslie cast

Gifted actress Andrea Riseborough plays the protagonist, Leslie. You might’ve watched her in the movies Happy-Go-Lucky, Never Let Me Go, Birdman, Nocturnal Animals, Battle of the Sexes, The Death of Stalin, The Grudge, Possessor, Amsterdam and Matilda the Musical.

Academy Award-winning actress Allison Janney plays the role of Nancy, a former friend of Leslie. You might recognize Janney from her previous roles in The West Wing, Masters of Sex, Mom, American Beauty, Juno, The Help, Bad Education and I, Tonya.

Marc Maron portrays the role of Sweeney, a motel owner who offers Leslie a job. Maron is known for his roles in GLOW, Maron, Respect, Spenser Confidential and Joker. He also voiced a character in the kid animated film The Bad Guys.

Owen Teague plays James, Leslie’s estranged son. You might’ve watched him in the movies Inherit the Viper, Montana Story, Gone in the Night, It, It Chapter Two, Every Day and I See You. He also had roles in the TV shows The Stand, Mrs. Fletcher, Bloodline and Black Mirror.
