About My Father is a movie helmed by Laura Terruso from a screenplay co-written by Sebastian Maniscalco and Austen Earl. In addition, it’s inspired by Maniscalco’s actual life and relationship with his own father. He plays himself in the film.

It centers around Sebastian, who is encouraged by his fiancée to bring his traditional Italian immigrant father to a weekend get-together with her wealthy and eccentric family. Although there’s initially a culture clash between the two families, they eventually come together, accept each other’s differences, and become a unified family.

Besides Maniscalco and De Niro, the cast comprises Leslie Bibb, Anders Holm, David Rasche, Kim Cattrall, and Brett Dier.

Is About My Father on Netflix?

Sadly, you will not find this movie on Netflix. However, it could eventually make its way to the streamer in the future, but that’s only if Netflix acquires streaming rights. As of May 26, there’s no news on if this will happen, but we’ll let you know if it does. So, for now, you’ll have to look elsewhere to watch About My Father.

The only place where you can watch this film at the moment is in theaters. You can find screenings near you and purchase tickets on the movie’s official website. Also, it will most likely be available to rent or purchase on digital platforms sometime after its theater release.
