Is 2PM’s Taecyeon in XO, Kitty?

The To All the Boys movies were very popular back when they were released on Netflix. Due to the film franchise’s success, Netflix decided to greenlight a spin-off series titled XO, Kitty, and it’s now available to stream.

Instead of centering on Lara Jean Song Covey’s love life, XO, Kitty tells Lara Jean’s little sister Kitty Song Covey’s story and follows her journey to find true love.

While Anna Cathcart returns as Kitty from the To All the Boys films in the spin-off, Lana Condor, who played Lara Jean in the movies, does not. Neither does Noah Centineo, who played Peter, Lara Jean’s boyfriend in the films. Besides Cathcart, the XO, Kitty cast includes Choi Min-yeong, Anthony Keyvan, Gia Kim, Sang Heon Lee, Peter Thurnwald, Regan Aliya, Yunjin Kim, Michael K. Lee, and Jocelyn Shelfo.

Is 2PM’s Taecyeon in XO, Kitty? (Who is Ocean Park?)

YES! Taecyeon makes an appearance in episode 8. He plays Ocean Park, an actor who previously worked with Min Ho’s mother Dami on a K-Drama called A Song of an Enchanted Tiger Amulet.

Madison is a big fan of Ocean Park, so she convinces Principal Lim to change their school ski trip to a camping trip at Ocean Park’s grandmother’s village. Ocean Park’s grandmother’s garden was destroyed by a flood, so Madison and the rest of the students at KISS fix it up to make it look good again.

As they clean up the garden, Ocean Park arrives at the village with his grandmother. While all of the students huddle around Ocean Park, Min Ho tells him that his mom said hi. Ocean Park replies by telling Min Ho that he and Dami ran into each other at the Sundance Festival once and slept together. Obviously, this shocks Min Ho and he’s unable to respond. Then, Ocean Park walks away and offers to take selfies with the students.

Although Taecyeon’s appearance in the show was short, it was a nice surprise to see him in it.

Is Han Chae-young in XO, Kitty?

Yes, Han Chae-young is in the teen series. She plays Dami, Min Ho’s mother who is an actress. Dami and Min Ho’s dad went through a messy divorce, and it affected Min Ho. We only get to see Dami when Min Ho facetimes her in the series. Although she’s constantly busy because of her work, Dami still makes time to talk to Min Ho and see what he’s up to. Unlike Taecyeon, who appears in only one episode, Han Chae-young appears throughout the show.

Is Cherry Bullet’s Chaerin in XO, Kitty? (Who is Lulu?)

Yes, Chaerin appears in episode 5 of the first season. She plays the role of Lulu, a rising K-Pop star that Min Ho likes. Min Ho and Lulu were going to hang out during the Chuseok holiday, but he ends up having a stomachache because of the mashed potatoes he ate. He asks for Kitty’s help in canceling their date.
