Smith was an undeniable beauty who had big dreams of becoming famous. But sadly, fame wasn’t all glitz and glamour for her. Smith learned the dark side of living in the spotlight the hard way and faced many tribulations throughout her adulthood.

From her spreads in Playboy to her acting gigs in movies like the Coen Brothers’ The Hudsucker Proxy, Smith had no problem booking jobs early in her career but unfortunately had to file for bankruptcy in 1996. A little over a decade later at the time of her death, how much money did she have?

In the end, Smith never saw any money from her late husband after his death.
