Best Netflix shows to watch this weekend, May 12
Below are three recommended shows for this weekend, with two you can skip.
Queen Cleopatra season 1
WATCH! The docuseries Queen Cleopatra looks into the life of one of the most beloved and misunderstood royals in history. From executive producer Jada Pinkett Smith, who also narrates, this series focuses on iconic African Queens. Don’t miss the deep dive into her life, explained by educated scholars.
Missing: Dead or Alive season 1
SKIP! The series Missing: Dead or Alive follows a South Carolina sheriff’s department as they search for missing persons. Netflix has a long list of true crime series that are worth the watch. But the newest Missing: Dead or Alive is one that you can skip for now as elements of this series seem rather forced or staged.
Documentary Now! season 4
WATCH! All four seasons of the mockumentary Documentary Now! created by Fred Armisen, Bill Hader, Seth Meyers, and Rhys Thomas, are now available to stream on Netflix. This parody comedy series takes favorite documentaries and turns them upside down, and basically pokes fun at the genre.
Mulligan season 1
SKIP! The newest adult animated series Mulligan is about the ultimate second chance to rebuild the world after an alien attack. While the series may be new, the overall premise isn’t. Many adult animated series have already tackled what this series is trying to do. Feel free to skip this one.
Black Knight season 1
WATCH! The South Korean sci-fi series is one you won’t want to miss. Set in a dystopian future where the air is polluted, the deliverymen in Black Knight are the saving grace who deliver necessities to survivors. Many aspire to become deliverymen and fight through the dangers of Seoul, but only a few will succeed.
