Does King George die in Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story?

Fortunately, King George does not die in the series. However, there are two times in the show when we thought he had died. In the first episode, in the present timeline, Queen Charlotte and Brimsley quickly walk to the front doors of Buckingham House to meet a guest. The guest is a doctor. Queen Charlotte asks the doctor if the King is dead, and he responds by saying no. It ends up being someone else who dies.

The second time we thought he had died was in episode 5. In the present timeline, Queen Charlotte suddenly wakes from her sleep and rings for Brimsley. Once Brimsley enters the room, Queen Charlotte asks him if King George is dead. Brimsley tells her he believes the King is still alive but isn’t sure. Then, Queen Charlotte tells him to check. Brimsley never returns to tell her if King George is still alive, but we find out later that he is.

Who dies in Queen Charlotte?

• Princess Charlotte – Queen Charlotte and King George’s granddaughter (present timeline)
• Lord Danbury – Lady Danbury‘s husband (past timeline)

Princess Charlotte dies in episode 1. She’s the person that the doctor comes to tell Queen Charlotte about. Lord Danbury dies in episode 3. While Lord and Lady Danbury are having sex, Lord Danbury suddenly falls from the bed. Lady Danbury moves to the bottom of the bed and looks over to see Lord Danbury’s lifeless body. The cause of his death is unknown, but it was most likely from a heart attack.
