Back in October 2012, a little movie called Pitch Perfect hit theaters and became an unexpected smash hit. The musical-comedy then spawned two sequels and a spinoff series on Peacock centering on Adam DeVine’s larger-than-life character. But now that the original classic has landed on Netflix in May 2023, we’re all rediscovering that epic Pitch Perfect song list.

In the film, the Barden University women’s a capella group attempts to bounce back from a tragic step backward in their last appearance at a major competition. With scrappy new talent on board, they embark on a new era and must face off their school’s all men’s a capella group in order to prove themselves and win nationals. Anna Kendrick, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow, Rebel Wilson, Skylar Astin, and Adam DeVine lead the ensemble cast.

It’s safe to say that if you’ve seen this movie even once, the soundtrack will stick in your mind forever. It’s that catchy, covering all the bases from throwbacks from decades past to songs that truly captured the essence of the early 2010s. If you’ve seen the movie a million times, by now, you can probably sing along with the Bellas and know which song is next in the mash-ups and riff-offs.

But if you’re revisiting the movie on Netflix over 10 years after its original release (how has it been that long?!), you might need a little refresher on who sings some of these songs in the riff-offs and mash-ups. Apart from songs by megastars like Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, and Bruno Mars, Pitch Perfect contains some obscure tunes and heavily-covered classics.

Pitch Perfect song list

Throughout Pitch Perfect, there are so many incredible songs to listen to, whether the Bellas and Treblemakers are singing themselves or they’re featured in one of Beca’s mash-up remixes. They are earworms we’re still singing along to, and Anna Kendrick’s original song from the movie even became a Top 10 hit! Who wasn’t attempting to learn “Cups” back in 2012?

But do you want even more music from the movie? Here’s the full Pitch Perfect song list from the first movie that started it all! Keep in mind, these song are attributed to the original artist, not the performer in the film. Also, some songs aren’t covered by the cast and are just featured in scenes.
