If you’re a fan of the Evil Dead franchise, you know the universe comprises multiple films, a three-season TV show, a video game, and more. While the movies aren’t streaming on Netflix, the show Ash vs. Evil Dead starring Bruce Campbell, is available. What about the fifth installment, Evil Dead Rise?

The supernatural horror centers around two estranged sisters, Ellie and Beth. Their reunion is cut short when they end up having to face demons. Unlike previous films, Evil Dead Rise is set in the city instead of the woods.

The newest chapter in the story stars Alyssa Sutherland as Ellie, Lily Sullivan as Beth, Gabrielle Echols as Bridget, Morgan Davies as Danny, Nell Fisher as Kassie, Jayden Daniels as Gabriel, Tai Wano as Scott, and Billy Reynolds-McCarthy as Jake.

So can you watch the production on Netflix? Is it streaming on another service? We’ve got the answer for you below!

Is Evil Dead Rise streaming on Netflix?

Evil Dead Rise made its theatrical debut on April 21, 2023. That means the film is playing exclusively in cinemas right now, and that’s the only way to watch the movie. It’s also produced by Warner Bros. Pictures, which means it’s unlikely the film will stream on Netflix at a later date.

Warner Bros. owns HBO Max (soon to become just Max starting May 23, 2023), which is where the movie will probably head after being in theaters for a while. However, that’s not a guarantee either. While the company used to bring its films to streaming 45 days after premiering on the big screen, now Warner Bros. goes on a case-by-case basis. So unfortunately, all we can do is wait to see if Evil Dead Rise will come to streaming at some point. Fingers crossed!

Evil Dead Rise is now in theaters.
