You may be used to seeing her portray Debbie “Liberty Belle” Eagan in Netflix comedy series GLOW, but actress Betty Gilpin has a new project you may want to check out! And that’s as a nun in the new science-fiction drama, Mrs. Davis. Is it streaming on Netflix?

Gilpin portrays Simone, who is a nun ready to go to battle against the all-powerful AI, Mrs. Davis, a.k.a. Her, according to the synopsis. Rounding out the cast are Jake McDorman as Simone’s ex-boyfriend Wiley, Margo Martindale as Simone’s Mother Superior, Andy McQueen (who Netflix viewers and Outer Banks fans will recognize as Carlos Singh from the show’s third season), and Ben Chaplin, among others.

The story follows Gilpin’s character and her motivation to destroy the powerful Artificial Intelligence that has taken over the world in a sense. The trailer, shown below, reveals how everyone listens to the machine, a group called The Resistance who have the same goal as Simone, and some of the lighthearted humor mixed in with the drama of the story.

Sorry, Netflix subscribers! Mrs. Davis will not be streaming on Netflix. That’s because the upcoming series is a Peacock Original, meaning the show will stream exclusively on the platform. The eight-episode production premieres Thursday, April 20, 2023 with the first four episodes on Peacock. After that, one new installment will be released weekly. You can catch the last episode on Thursday, May 18, 2023.
